I had a chance encounter with a young woman in a coffee shop recently and she was wearing studs that were about 1/2 inch in diameter. I was immediately inspired to make some studs that were a bit larger than what I normally create.
These are sterling silver with a domed and hammered brass focal set in a sterling silver bezel. These arrive with a sterling silver butterfly clasp for a secure fit. I solder on a commercial ear post (sterling silver) so that the butterfly clasp has a little notch to fit securely.
The studs are oxidized and polished for about 6 hours in my tumbler which gives them a wonderful, warm patina.
This design is made to order. Currently my turnaround time is 2-4 Business Days after the order is placed. I do not work in my studio on weekends, so please take that into account to estimate ship time. I stamp my jewelry with my makers mark "sflorer" depending on whether or not there is room on the design, and if it is 100% sterling silver it will be stamped with a .925 stamp if I can. Some designs that are made from all wire or very narrow I am unable to stamp.
