I wanted to make a series of earrings that would have a drop length around an inch or so, and very comfortable to wear for everyday earrings. The inspiration came from my love of archeology, and the neat shape and texture of old coins that have been sitting undisturbed for hundreds of years. I love that look!
These double disc earrings are stamped with Native American metal stamps along with a just beautiful patina and a light sand texture. They have been oxidized and matte finished for a wonderful glow and texture that feels nostalgic and warm.
I put a little curve in the back of the ear wire to help make sure they don't slip off when changing clothing.
